We had a craft play date at a friend's house today. The girls decorated haunted houses and (more) pumpkins!
I prepared the houses last night with moon and cloud and stars higher up above the houses using pipe cleaners. And added a little "lawn" for each house too. This is how it turns out.
You will need:
- wooden bird house (we got a very small one)
- acrylic paint
- Halloween stickers
- pipe cleaners
- glue
- googly eyes
- pom poms
- any other embellishments
This was TT's haunted house while she was still busy working on it.
This is PK's after adding in stickers and googly eyes and pompoms after the paint has dried.

This is TT's haunted house and pumpkins.
The haunted house is too cute to be spooky as what my dear friend E said. But I love it. PK and TT chose all the colors by themselves and add on the stickers and pompoms in any way they like. I did add in the googly eyes on the spots where PK had wet glue on. Wanted to make it more spooky!
Painting on anything other paper is always fun, like the table...
Because BB wanted to be involved, I held his hand and painted a pumpkin together. Then we added sequins. When the sequins were given, he was all over it and tried to put one in his mouth. It is kind of hard to pick up sequins. So, it was a sensory and fine motor skill activity too.
Our very sparkly pumpkins with just paint and sequins.
These are our pumpkins #5,6,7. Check out the others:
