It was cold and damp everywhere but little Elsa wanted to go trick or treat anyway... And so we did.
We remembered this house #8 because we had a photo of it in our photo book. How fast one year has passed. Last year, PK and BB were pink kitty and brown bear. This year they are Elsa and Olaf. I wonder what we will be next year. We shall be back!
PK really likes this house because of the inflatable. And when she pushed it as if it was a bounce house, BB giggled. Funny pair.
Anyway, we drove 10 miles to this neighborhood for trick or treat because it was quiet at our place. Most of the houses were beautifully (or spookily) decorated and some streets were closed to cars and safe for trick or treaters to roam across the street from house to house.
Most of the residents dressed up and sat at their porch giving out treats. Some houses have loud disco music, others have big tv screens. It was very much like a neighborhood festival! My favorite was this talking skeleton that talked to me. At first I thought it's just pre-recorded sentences. Then I realized someone was watching me from somewhere and responding to me through the skeleton.
Elsa's favorite us this castle house which housed some of the most favorite princesses. There was a big crowd in front of this house just to go in for pictures or treats!
We managed to get Snow White & her wicked stepmother. And that's Captian Hook from Peter Pan?
And then there is Tinkerbell. She could find her wand, PK helped her! (It was on her lap).
On our way out, we met Cinderella, that's PK favorite classic princess!
We walked for an hour or so, it was really tiring. I carried Olaf the whole time and Kristoff got to hold sleepy Elsa towards the end.
We had so much candies from so many different events, the greatest amount we ever had in the four Halloweens that we have had in the states. PK loves chocolates so I let her indulge sometimes. To end off our wonderful Halloween 2014, we ate ice cream and breakfast for supper! What a treat.
A sum up of our Halloween / Trick or Treat activities this year:
- indoor mall trick or treating
- outdoor mall trick or treating
- house to house trick or treating!
So glad PK and BB experienced so many types of Halloween events. I'm sure Halloween means a lot more to PK now that she is older although she is probably not aware of the origin of this festive yet.
How is your Halloween? Ours is awesome and is overloaded with candies.
