We are attending a party tomorrow and PK excitedly said she wants to bring a surprise for Uncle N and Auntie A (because she overheard my conversation with Daddy about getting a cake). So I picked out two crystal ornaments today and have her decorate them.
You will need:
- crystal ornaments (lid can be opened to fill the ornament)
- things to put in the ornaments (we used foam stars and sequins)
- acrylic paint
Steps:
1. Fill up your ornament with the things you like.
2. Put the lid back once the ball is filled. Paint a thumb with acrylic paint. Use any color of your choice.
3. Slant the thumb and make a print on the crystal. Slant the thumb the other way on the same spot overlapping the previous thumbprint to make a heart.
4. Your heart should look something like this. Do as many hearts as you like.
You can also paint the crystal ornament with a small brush in any design that you like but PK likes hearts and it looks really simple and pretty. You can also make thumb print flowers and leaves.
This is a really simple craft and PK could do all the steps by herself with minimal supervision. And best of all, it's a lovely gift from the heart!
