A friend was telling me about the elitism and rigidity of some education system and how the things that I do with PK are so much more constructive and varied for a child's learning and play. I was flattered but just the day before, the tiger mom in me got PK to do some math worksheets. Not sure if my friend would think the same way about me again. :D
Well, I was cleaning up the other day and saw these worksheets that I got from the dollar store. There are about 30 pages of them in each pack and each cost only $1. What a steal! So, this is the counting pack for preschooler.
I know PK has no problem counting accurately. The only thing to work on is her writing. So I set this out for her, give her verbal instructions on what to do, (take some pictures) and then let her do by herself. I went ahead and fried my potstickers appetizers instead since I was expecting some guests this evening.
No problem with number sequence. She can tell me the missing number faster than I take a picture.
And no problem counting and writing out the correct number by herself. She finished these two pages before I'm done with my potstickers.
I guess she is very happy to get all the sums correct and that I drew her heart and star and flower etc for being so great. Because after this, she asked to do more.
This page is the last because she was tired of counting. And I was done with my potstickers too. And BB was awake. Just about time to play instead!
P.S. She needs to practice writing her "6".
