Stay tuned for more update on what this might be. Spent the last two hours working on this. Time for this mama to go to bed. :D
I set this up overnight and when PK saw it in the morning, she was excited. After tell her what it is, she quickly sat down to add things at the windows. She kept telling me it's not a haunted house, it's Elsa's castle. Funny girl. Nothing is spooky in her life. I didn't get picture if her drawing because I was busy preparing breakfast but this is what she drew. You will need: - black construction paper - yellow construction paper - silver sharpie - scissors or cutting knife - glue - pencil Steps: 1. Sketch a haunted house on the black paper using pencil, marking out where you want the windows to be. 2. Using scissors or cutting knife, cut out the windows. I use various shapes for the windows and PK likes it. Don't forget the moon. 3. Use the silver sharpie to draw out other features of the house, e.g. door or chimney or fence, etc. 4. Glue the black paper over the yellow paper. And you are set. Sorry for the faint drawing. I should have given her a pen instead of pencils. Upon close up you can see the Elsa and Anna she drew, which pretty much look like witches to me. And she remembers to put in the spider webs. Something that I didn't expect her to do. So it is kind of good that I gave her pencils after all. The pencil marks show up on the black paper. I love it that her haunted castle has all the little things that matter to her. Princesses (or witches), bows and butterflies (or candies?), flowers. It says a lot about the artist. |
